  • "We are closing a round of Series C. This is the point at which the company goes from being a child to becoming an adult," said Avi Meir.

Founded in 2015 by Avi Meir (CEO) and Javier Suarez (CPO), TravelPerk is at the forefront of reinventing business travel. Now the startup has closed a 53 million Euro round with the support of Kinnevik, Partners of DST Global, Target Global, Felix Capital, Sunstone, and LocalGlobe. Precisely these investors had already participated in October’s round.

The resources from this round will go towards the expansion of TravelPerk, which has growth expectations of 300% over 2018. The capital increase will also encourage recruitment within the company, which today has 240 employees. It is expected that, by the end of the year, this figure will be at 430 and 580 during 2020.

“We are closing a round of Series C. This is the point at which the company goes from being a child to becoming an adult,” said Avi Meir, co-founder and CEO of TravelPerk, in a statement to workers and investors.

Instead of simply focusing on niche features, TravelPerk, which is free to use, has doubled the infrastructure, building an end-to-end business travel platform where customers can search for flights and hotels, book and pay for them (including prepayment for any hotel in the world), manage their itineraries, receive instant invoices, have full control of their travel preferences and loyalty programs, automate their travel policy, access their travel data and have multilingual support 24 hours a day, every day, all in one place.
