Youth Business Spain is a private, independent, non-profit, national foundation, established in 2014 with the aim of channeling and joining forces in the fight against unemployment, helping young people to start their self-employment projects, i.e. creating their own jobs.

The foundation is chaired by Carmen García de Andrés and directed by Guillem Arís, and is a member of Youth Business International, a global NGO founded in 2000 by the Prince of Wales, with a presence in more than 45 countries that enhances the impact of support programs for young entrepreneurs around the world.

It also has the support of the J. P. Morgan Chase Foundation, the mission of which is to promote economic growth and the strengthening of communities around the world and has allowed the creation, expansion and consolidation of the network and mentoring program of the private foundation. Another of its main investors is the Endesa Foundation, for the soft skills training program Compe10cias LED, and the Citi Foundation, for the Lean Startup training program.

TRAINING, ACCESS TO FINANCE AND MENTORING

Youth Business Spain’s vision is for young self-employment to be recognized as a catalyst for sustainable economic development and for all young people who want to start a business to have the opportunity to develop their full potential. Its main mission is to provide a growing number of underserved young people with access to the support they need to start and grow their businesses, helping them create jobs, build their communities and transform their lives.

For this reason, Youth Business Spain offers support services that combine training actions, access to funding mechanisms and a mentoring program provided by volunteer entrepreneurs.

The beneficiaries of the Foundation’s programs are young people between the ages of 18 and 35 who have entrepreneurial potential and a business idea, but who do not have access to the resources needed to set it in motion.

Youth Business Spain has a network of local partners who are responsible for providing support services to young entrepreneurs in their respective fields of action. Another of the objectives of the foundation is to expand this network of partners, in order to expand the options to young entrepreneurs in all Autonomous Communities. In addition to this expansion, the foundation seeks to grow and innovate, through a collaborative and networked environment, its three main services: training, access to financing and mentoring.
