Kuorum is a comprehensive consultancy firm and SaaS that helps governments, companies and organizations carrying out participatory processes.
The startup was launched in 2013 by Matías Nso, Iñaki Domínguez and José María García with €214k raised from angel investors, grants and convertible loans. Kuorum embodies the paradigm change the current social political and business sectors are experiencing.
KUORUM’S FOUNDERS UNDERSTOOD PARTICIPATION HAS BECOME A COMMODITY
Today, organizations are faced with a new generation of employees, donors, affiliates and voters who demand increasing levels of involvement in decision-making processes. Communication and reciprocity are therefore essential.
Kuorum, whose name was inspired in the Latin term quorum – referring to the minimum number of members that must be present at any assembly or meeting to make proceedings valid – speaks to the problem Nso, Dominguez and García are trying to tackle: How to engage with employees, voters or clients to get high quality feedback and innovative solutions to challenging problems?
MORE THAN JUST A FREE SOFTWARE
In a market saturated by consultants charging fortunes, clients often invest in the software and are left with no resources or knowledge to disseminate and manage the participatory processes. It is a frustrating model for customers. That’s why Kuorum’s founders decided to create a free SaaS with a wide range of tools to offshoot and manage community engagement.
Using technology, this startup enables organizations to set up a platform in less than a minute. They only charge those customers requiring assistance in developing campaigns or those looking for a customized solution. To those, Kuorum offers a team of consultants working hand in hand with clients to find the optimal strategy for each case. Kuorum supports customers throughout the process of launching their platform and help guarantee its success.
KUORUM OPERATES IN EUROPE BUT WANTS TO EXPAND
Operating in Spain, the UK and Austria, Kuorum has earned several awards, including Best Govtech of the Year (2016) and Best UberPITCH in Spain.
Currently the startup is looking for the next round of investment that will be used to optimise online sales, funnelling and consolidating sales and developing teams. In addition, Kuorum hopes to reach €0.5M in revenues next year with customers across Europe and Latin America.
