Anyformat,  a generative AI platform specialized in extracting and structuring complex data from any document, has closed a €3.3 million seed round led by Kibo Ventures, with follow-on participation from 4Founders, Abac Nest Ventures, and Decelera Ventures, all of which also supported the company’s previous round.

The company is building the next generation of document infrastructure powered by generative AI. Its platform enables operational teams in large organizations to process complex documents with human-level accuracy at machine speed, while retaining full control over sensitive data. The technology is designed for seamless deployment from day one, requiring minimal technical dependencies.

Since its previous €520,000 pre-seed round, Anyformat has expanded its capabilities well beyond traditional extraction. It is now the only provider that can combine extracted document information with internal, proprietary company data in real time. This means that contracts, invoices, or emails can be automatically analyzed while being cross-referenced with corporate databases such as customer records, policies, product catalogs, or historical data.

For organizations with complex documentation and fragmented systems, this capability eliminates manual validations, reduces errors, and accelerates critical business processes. This represents a real problem: according to Dell Technologies’ Innovation Catalyst report, 68% of Spanish companies fail to convert their data into valuable information in real time, highlighting the urgency for solutions such as Anyformat.

“”The document intelligence market is entering a new phase driven by generative AI and agentic systems. Anyformat has developed a unique technology that allows companies to automate critical processes while maintaining data sovereignty, a key issue in Europe. The vision and talent of the founders, whom we know from their time at Clarity.ai, a company also invested in by Kibo Ventures, combined with the possibilities offered by AI in a huge market, were key factors in our decision to invest,” says Javier Torremocha, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Kibo Ventures.,” says Javier Torremocha, partner at Kibo Ventures.

With a team of nine full-time employees, the startup continues to refine its technology to convert any document, presentation, or file into data ready for analysis, business intelligence, or internal operations, always with the strictest privacy controls.

Growth underway: €1 million ARR forecast for 2026

Anyformat aims to exceed €1 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in 2026, supported by its commercial expansion in Europe and the increase in use cases linked to automation, compliance, and advanced document processing.

Juan Huguet, CEO and co-founder of Anyformat, says “Documents are the backbone of any organization. Our goal is to enable companies to analyze them with human intelligence, machine speed, and the security required by regulations. We are building the new European document infrastructure.” Diego Pérez, co-founder and CTO of the company, adds, “We are developing technology capable of going far beyond document digitization.”

The investment: technology, expansion, and compliance

This new funding will enable the company to accelerate its product development and strengthen areas critical to its growth. A significant portion of the funds will be used to expand the engineering and product team, driving its roadmap in advanced extraction capabilities and the development of proprietary error detection models. At the same time, Anyformat will build a highly focused sales team in Spain and the European Union to capitalize on the growing demand for intelligent data processing solutions.

In addition, the company will continue to invest in its privacy-first infrastructure, strengthening security processes and advancing certifications such as ISO 27001, which is key to working with large corporations and public administrations.

With this round of funding, Anyformat is accelerating its path to becoming the European benchmark in document AI. The company is positioning its Agentic OCR as the new standard for automating critical processes in organizations that cannot compromise on accuracy or data control. In a market moving towards more autonomous, private, and multimodal solutions, Anyformat is setting the course for how generative AI will be applied in document management over the next decade.
