Metricson is a law firm that operates in the technology and innovation business sector. “The company’s objective is based on helping companies around the world to develop and protect their activity with legal guarantees”, states the company. Metricson’s project focuses on the activity of startups and technology companies with which they have collaborated. In this sense, the firm is responsible for “guaranteeing transparency, flexibility and efficiency throughout the process”, they add.

Founded by Luis Gosálbez who has worked at the consulting firm EY, Metricson focuses its portfolio of services around commercial matters, privacy, intellectual property, procedural and international advice. Since its creation in 2010, the company has undergone an expansion that has led it to establish itself in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. Likewise, the company has been recognized within the category of “Best Lawyers 2020”, as well as in the list of “Chamber & Partners and Global Law Experts”, in 2019.

“We have a privileged knowledge of the startup ecosystem, and we have a network of contacts that we make available to our clients,” Metricson said. In recent years they have begun to expand their client profile. In this way, they have applied new knowledge to the different companies they work with, as well as to the startups that are part of their client portfolio, including: Adglow, Marfeel, Smart Protection and Vlex.

Although the company’s physical presence is centralized in Spain, it has a network of contacts for sector operations in different markets like the United States, Europe and the Middle East.

In addition, last year the legal services firm worked with Demium Startups to incubate 100 projects at its offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao and Málaga. Along these lines, the company has been able to offer entrepreneurs the legal answers on specific issues that are needed when projects are in the implementation phase, such as knowledge of new technologies and the sector and great agility and versatility.
