Alias Robotics is a Vitoria-based startup in the field of robotic cybersecurity that allows us to analyse the behaviour of industrial robots, identifying their function failures, external IT attacks or modifications of the black box that controls the operation of these robotic devices.

The firm is also engaged in the strategic plan aimed at the development and final improvement of the product and the launch of the activity on international markets with the support of the marketing and sales department with qualified personnel in both areas.

Alias Robotics currently has a staff of 15 professionals with tech profiles and expects to increase that to 25 by the end of the year. On the other hand, the business forecasts for the Álava-based company for 2019 see a tenfold increase on 2018 figures, exceeding the forecasts in the firm’s strategic plan. In parallel, the startup is offering and consolidating its security consulting services for companies that use robots in their automatic processes and for robotic manufacturers.

Among them are leaders in the collaborative robot sector, Acutronic Robotics. The initiative raised over half a million euros dedicated to building the equipment and developing the initial technological prototypes and attending the latest international fairs and conventions in the sector to position themselves as a leader.

Alias Robotics’ main objective is to strike a balance and raise some 5 million euros from a new round of Series A financing while investing fundamentally in marketing, sales and business development.
