FLUZO raises 1.25 millions of euro to bring audio fingerprinting to advertising and audience measurement industry

FLUZOa startup that wants to use audio fingerprinting technology to improve cross-media advertising and media consumption intelligence, announced a 1.25 millions of euro investment. Adara Ventures led the round with participation from Sabadell Venture Capital, the venture capital arm of Banco Sabadell.

FLUZO’s founder and CEO, José-Luis Muñoz says that the startup’s goal is to democratize access to cross-media advertising intelligence. “Our proprietary audio fingerprinting technology uncovers a whole new class of data for brands and media agencies that are currently flying blind with regards to cross-media advertising research. Our mission is simple: to make cross-media measurement more intelligent”, has specified.

At the same time, FLUZO’s proposition is a Technology as a Service solution that is integrated into mobile applications from third party research panels or enterprises. The technology transforms the mobile phone into a passive meter that reacts to the unique digital characteristics of audiovisual content emitted by nearby device, including linear or on demand TV, online TV, Digital Video, Radio, Digital audio or other formats.

At an aggregated level, FLUZO enables clients to understand impact, reach and quality of cross-device campaigns and content within a single source panel. The solution is fully GDPR compliant.

The Advertising and Audience Measurement industry has changed considerably in recent years. Increased fragmentation and proliferation of media channels, content platforms and devices have driven changing habits in media consumption. As legacy solutions have yet to adapt to this new landscape, solutions like FLUZO are using new technologies to effectively measure audiences across multiple devices and services.

For that reason, the company will use the funds to strengthen its business in Spain and to expand internationally, principally in other European markets and Mexico.
