Hellotickets, the platform that facilitates access to events anywhere in the world

Hellotickets

In 2016, entrepreneurs Jorge Díaz and Alberto Martínez founded Hellotickets, a global ticketing platform for live events, tours and experiences designed especially for travelers.

An idea arising from combining the experience of its founders in the ticketing market and in the tourism sector. Jorge Díaz worked as VP of Marketing and Product at Ticketbis (a leading Spanish and European ticketing platform and one of the most famous exits in the Spanish startup ecosystem) and Alberto Martínez was the Spain Country Manager of Everymundo, an online travel startup based in Miami.

The experience, professional knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit of Jorge and Alberto resulted in Hellotickets: a space where travelers can buy tickets anywhere in the world in their language, with their preferred currency and payment method, and event organizers can sell their tickets internationally through a single channel. For users, buying tickets through Hellotickets guarantees the security of not falling into counterfeiting and avoiding the inflation of resale. Its business model consists of a B2C system based on agreements with travel platforms that require tickets for their customers.

Because of all this, five years after its launch, the company is present in more than fifteen countries in Europe, America, and Asia, and has received awards such as the Emprendedores XXI Award from Caixabank, from the Community of Madrid, the Tourism Tech sectorial award and the Fast Forward award from Vodafone.

Hellotickets needed a capital of €300K for its launch, but the effort and the gamble were worth it: they have already managed to close more than two rounds of investment attracting international investors such as venture capital Pillar VC, from Boston (USA). These initial rounds have been used to make strategic hires that have allowed the company to scale its business. However, despite a turbulent 2020, Hellotickets wants to continue growing, improving, and expanding the offer it provides to its users every day, whether they are travelers, locals, or event organizers.
