Spacestartup was born in 2018 thanks to the main actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, investors (Canal Rio and Pinama), accelerators (Demum), and consultants (Cocreanet).
The company’s objective is to help startups in their commercial processes, providing both good planning and sales strategy, as well as one of the most differentiating characteristics: a professional team that accompanies the entrepreneur throughout the process until the achievement of the objective, seeking and identifying an optimal dealflow, previously validated by them, and covering the real business needs.
Spacestartup combines two intrinsic concepts: the search for a space within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and 360 services offered to startups. That’s when the name of the company “Space Startups” appears, which unites the two different worlds of large companies and startups.
Spacestartup’s success is the success of its clients, that’s why its business model is based mainly on a “success fee”, the concept of commission payment for services rendered if the agreed result is reached.
IMPLEMENTATION OF A NEW INVESTMENT MODEL
The company covered its financial needs to make the leap to market with an injection of initial 50,000 Euro and, so far, have not needed a new round of funding thanks to its rapid growth. That is why they are now seeking to carry out two operations that will provide Spacestartups, on the one hand, the necessary push to continue growing commercially and.
On the other, a differential point with respect to traditional investments with an own S4Q2020 vehicle in order to offer commercial services for equity in the startup and always based on achieving the commercial milestones that are established. This is a new model that is currently operating in other markets such as the American market.
Spacestartup currently operates throughout Spain and has commercial partners mainly in Colombia and Mexico. The company intends to achieve new objectives, such as consolidating its model and relationship with clients, strengthening its team and strengthening the brand, after the first success cases, and so, in 2020, make the great leap with the new investment and services model to cover the real sales needs of all startups.
