The newspaper El Referente today released the fourth edition of the Investment Guide for Startups, now on sale on our online channels. An annual publication that covers the entire national ecosystem of innovation and startups.
After three years of growth in the number of guides sold, the magazine has once again opted for a 226-page edition in which it reviews all the agents in the ecosystem.
This year El Referente bets on giving visibility on the cover to one of the benchmark national investors and founder of The Venture City, Laura González Estéfani who, in addition, exclusively talks about closing her last round for the investment fund.
It thus becomes the first cover of the magazine that highlights a public personality of the sector and is complemented by an in-depth interview on the first pages of the publication.
This edition maintains the line of past editions and is committed to consolidating sections that have been fundamental, such as Spanish and foreign private financing, the main Spanish business angels, and two sections that have improved considerably with respect to 2018.
Also a special section on support initiatives for startups (accelerators, incubators, venture builders, open Innovation) with a study of the evolution of these initiatives, and a special section on the media and journalists that is broader and more complete than in previous years.
STATEMENTS BY THE DIRECTOR
The director of the magazine, José María Torrego has stated that “this guide is even more complete than previous editions”. And he added: “Having a base of three years of work helps us to delve deeper into the special features of the magazine and provide them with more information and a more updates”.
In it appear the more than 300 investment vehicles active in Spain (foreign and Spanish) that have made at least one investment in the last three years, more than 200 accelerators with an acceleration program underway, and more than 100 journalists who talk about startups, technology and innovation in Spain.
In addition, El Referente is once again holding a special edition of the 50 most innovative startups in the seed phase, which have already been awarded tickets to the final of the first El Referente awards to be held at the end of the year.
In the magazine you can also find other sections such as a special events, the well-known report on the evolution of investment in Spain, the special on Public Financing, the interview with the co-founder of Ontruck Gonzalo Parejo, or a directory of service companies more relevant than the Spanish investment ecosystem.
