VENPED, the sales and order management software through Marketplaces, has just closed a first round of financing with which it has raised 200,000 euros. After having increased the sales of a client by almost 80%, VENPED has incorporated private investors to the project who bet on its business model. Among these investors are Draper B1 and Unitatea, and some business angels belonging to companies such as PayPal or Pinterest, among others.
With this round, the promoter team intends to further develop its tool and make it scalable. The goal is to include new functionalities that allow any seller to make selling in Marketplaces easy and comfortable based on a strategy of commission and price control, and an efficient management of orders by connecting directly with suppliers.
“We identified that there was a need for sellers to streamline processes and reduce the cost of their resources. One of VENPED’s strengths is its own algorithms that allow us to control vendor margins, calculating competitive prices by controlling Marketplace commissions, positioning the product to drive traffic and generate more sales” states Ignacio Martínez Gomá, co-founder of the company.
VENPED connects directly with suppliers through the same interface and allows real-time tracking of product lifecycle and incidents. In addition, VENPED users can easily update their catalog on any channel they are connected to, as well as update their prices, stock and logistics traceability.
Pablo López Iglesias, co-founder of the project, confirms that “60% of online sales are made during special promotions throughout the year, such as Black Friday or Home Week. Marketplaces drive these actions by generating traffic to products offered by sellers with special discounts. We also know that 70% of online shoppers use the Marketplace as a source of information, so standing out is very important. Sellers have to spend a lot of time and money to stand out in those promotions and with VENPED they manage it in a matter of minutes.”
VENPED’s proposition is to offer companies of any size a web platform where they can connect to any Marketplace and manage sales and orders from a single profile, including detailed analytics information about sales on their dashboard.
It comes to revolutionize the way of selling through a Marketplace, facilitating the management of price calculations, direct and fast connection with Marketplaces and order management. It provides an alternative to the dedication of different roles for a management that can be easily performed by an employee.
