Webel raises 1,4M€ round to launch internationally

Webel, the platform that lets you find and hire any home service in three clicks, has closed a 1.4 million euros funding round. The deal, which doubles the company’s valuation compared to its last investment in October 2023, includes investors such as Goodwater Capital, the world’s largest consumer tech fund, which had previously only invested in two Spanish companies. In addition, it has other national and international investors such as Decelera Ventures.

After reaching 15 cities in Spain, 11 of them opened in 2024, Webel closes this operation seeking to expand its service internationally and reach new markets throughout this year.  The company’s mission is to lead the transformation in home service contracting, allowing users to compare thousands of qualified professional profiles to easily and quickly book their services.

Nacho Tejero, CEO and Co-Founder of Webel, says: “This capital injection allows us to continue consolidating our national expansion, where we expect to close the year with 500% growth. It also opens the door to international expansion, marking the first time we will take Webel beyond Spain. Our model is unique, and we are 50% more cost-effective than any competitor, giving us a strong competitive advantage that will help us break into related markets”.

In addition, as part of its growth strategy, Webel is looking to develop different cross-selling strategies in several platform categories and to promote company profiles through an internal software, allowing companies (and not just individuals, as at present) to manage and offer their services via app and web, offering them a large community in which they can grow and expand their activity.

Home services transformation

Home service hiring trends have changed significantly in the last few years, driven mainly by the new digital-native generations. This is reflected in a significant increase in the demand for all types of home professionals, showing a clear inclination towards comfort when it comes to fulfilling daily needs.

Webel allows users to easily, quickly and intuitively find everything: from home services, such as cleaning or handyman services, to care for seniors and children, or personal trainers. At the same time, professionals find in the platform a great way to get into the professional world, allowing them to promote their services, set their own rates and conditions, as well as receive ratings that build trust with new clients.

During the last year, the platform’s services have experienced a 650% growth, successfully closing more than 200,000 operations, 80% of which came from established clients who keep hiring more than once. The company already has more than 150,000 professionals relying on the platform, as well as more than 400,000 clients.
