The company Netun Solutions was created in 2016 by Jorge Costas Otero, Jorge Torre, David Yustas and Silvia Souto, with the aim of innovating road safety around the world through technologies that connect asphalt, people and machines.
Its first product, Help-flash, is a light device that allows immediate signaling of any obstacle on the road, minimizing the risk of accidents while being able to make automatic emergency calls. This wireless device can be attached to any metal surface and the warning light is automatically turned on and can be seen from one kilometer. Help-flash can be used on both two and four-wheel vehicles and can be activated automatically and manually, what is more, it can be used in adverse weather conditions such as rain and snow. The light can be purchased both online and offline via well-known marketplaces, department stores, insurance companies, car showrooms and even vehicle manufacturers.
HAS RECEIVED MANY AWARDS
Given the innovative nature of the product, it has won awards such as the 2017 MOTORTEC Innovation Gallery, the 2017 Direct Line Foundation Entrepreneur and Road Safety Award, 4thEdition AXA Opensurance Insurtech and the 2ndEdition of CNAE Foundation Awards.
Having recently raised a seed round of €275k thanks to two public trusts and an investment group linked to the IESE investor network, the company that works with a B2C2B and B2C model is currently operating in Spain, USA, Japan, China and France.
WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS
Their aim for the coming months is to significantly increase sales via agreements that they are in the process of closing. They hope that if the future goes according to their road map, they will not need to raise any further investment rounds. Another next step is also continuing the incorporation of IBM Watson Artificial Intelligence to the product. This improvement will help reduce response times during accidents on the road, especially in life and death situations where each second counts.
