Jotelulu, Europe’s leading cloud services platform exclusively for IT channels, has closed a €6.8 million funding round led by Kibo Ventures, one of Spain’s top venture capital funds, with participation from existing investors (Adara Ventures, Bankinter, G2A, and Big Sur Ventures). This capital injection will allow the company to strengthen its presence in Europe and take its first steps in Latin American markets, solidifying its position as a global competitor in the sector.
Currently, Jotelulu collaborates with over 1,000 partners, primarily IT companies offering cloud services to SMEs in Spain, Portugal, and France. The company has developed an innovative platform that facilitates the sale of cloud services to any company, making it a benchmark in the sector and enabling it to outperform major players like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud in the SME segment.
“The support from Kibo Ventures is a recognition of our team’s efforts and the validity of our business model,” says David Amorín, CEO of Jotelulu. “At Jotelulu, we focus on product, proximity, and understanding each market. We now know that the challenges faced by IT companies are similar across countries: they need simple and competitive solutions to drive SME cloud adoption.”
An innovative model creating local value with an ambitious global vision
Jotelulu’s success lies in its ability to transform small IT businesses into cloud service providers under their own brand. The platform centralizes all the technical, administrative, and commercial processes required to sell cloud services, ranging from servers to business continuity solutions and communications.
“SMEs trust their local IT companies, and we make them more competitive for their customers,” explains Amorín. This approach has allowed Jotelulu to achieve sustained growth and stand out in a segment where cloud adoption has been notably low.
“The leadership and ambitious vision of the Jotelulu team were key factors in our investment decision. Jotelulu is much more than a cloud services platform; it is the main gateway to the cloud for SMEs. By providing IT providers with the necessary tools to become the primary channel for technological modernization, Jotelulu enables SMEs to adopt cloud services and AI solutions specifically designed for their needs,” says Juan López Santamaría, partner at Kibo Ventures.
Global expansion: Focus on Europe and LATAM
With operations already established in Spain, Portugal, and France, the company aims to further expand its European presence while building a solid foundation for its entry into Latin America. Jotelulu’s strategy revolves around local teams that understand each market’s specific needs, aiming to replicate its success in new territories. “Internationalization is a challenge, but we firmly believe our value proposition is universal,” Amorín affirms.
Technology creation, AI investment, and innovation yielding results
Jotelulu is one of the few Spanish tech companies developing proprietary solutions in a sector that typically depends on U.S. hyperscalers (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.). This approach not only fosters technological independence but also allows for the creation of innovative products tailored to specific market needs, such as mobility, security, or AI solutions targeted at SMEs.
