CorreosLabs launches the third edition of the Lehnica Challenge, a competition for innovative projects through which the Correos helps the development and implementation of startup projects with the aim of bringing added value to the market. In addition, this year, the company has explained that it will build a long-term relationship with the chosen startups. It therefore reserves the right to capitalize all or part of the 30,000 Euro awarded during the acceleration period.
Correos wants to see how the accelerated startups grow and, in addition, it intends to be part of that growth in quality of partners, this being a guarantee of the commercial continuity of the startup with the Correos brand.
The Lehnica III Challenge will bring together a set of projects, to finally choose five of them that will become part of CorreosLabs, a space for innovation and entrepreneurship belonging to Correos. The acceleration of the five winning projects of the Challenge will be carried out in this multidisciplinary work center. This center has all the facilities and technological means for a startup to develop its business idea.
The categories that the company has stipulated for the development of the projects are, in the first place, emerging technologies. This category will include projects that allow the transformation of traditional businesses or the creation of new services through: artificial intelligence; intelligent spaces; blockchain; machine learning; big data; Internet of things; augmented analytics; or any other that allows businesses to experience a transformation in the efficiency of their procedures.
The second category is in the area of logistics. Projects that allow a better logistical experience in aspects such as traceability, new delivery models, urban logistics, circular economy, energy efficiency, new logistical models, dynamic deliveries and drones, among others, will enter here. Following this, the third category will be social projects, i.e. projects that contribute to the revitalization of rural areas, establishing populations and supporting the transformation of “Empty Spain” in the impulse of the rural environment and revitalization of the population and projects that have a positive impact on the environmental sphere.
And finally, the category of public services, which includes projects that allow an improvement in the provision of public services. Correos has specified that the deadline for the call will be 13 December.
