  • The acceleration is completed in only five days and in key sectors, working in each process of acceleration a sector.

Mentor Day is an acceleration program held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It lasts one week, is inspired by “Google sprint” and is totally free, private and non-profit.

The accelerator was founded in 2015 by Jaime Cavero Gandarias, a businessman with more than 25 years of experience and President of the leading company of the Dyrecto group in the financial sector in Tenerife.

Every year Mentor Day holds 10 calls, one every month excluding August and January, so it keeps the registration process open permanently. In each program 15 startups are selected, of which eight are submitted to the Pitch Combat and the four most investible pitch to investors in the mentor Coinvierte, where the best startup receives guaranteed investment.

The projects receive personalized aid from 70 specialist experts, participate in 60 awards and have access to 30 financiers (200 sources), investors, as well as the accompaniment, for more than a year, of a YBS network mentor selected from among the 14,000 available in 46 countries, such as Jaime Cavero, Ricardo González, Alfredo López and Andrés Orozco.

The program is supported by more than 200 experienced entrepreneurs. Startups such as Spalopia, Clucom, Discubre, Talentoo, Foundspot have gone through Mentor Day.

AN INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM

Mentor Day also offers entrepreneurs a workspace in the largest business and coworking center. The international character of the program generates a space that fosters networking, synergies and gives visibility to projects, advice on European taxation, international expansion and a softlanding service for foreigners.

The acceleration is completed in only five days and in key sectors, working in each process of acceleration a sector. Each month they organize a different vertical linked to the world of innovation and entrepreneurship in its various aspects, both in terms of acceleration by sector, on the profile of the entrepreneur and in relation to the theme.

Tourism, gastronomy, health, education, video games, women, disability, university students, internationalization, job creators or entrepreneurship within traditional professions are some of the areas addressed by the program.
